Side effects are often caused by incorrect use or over-pumping of the device. The penis can feel slightly colder than usual after pump use. You may also notice swelling of superficial veins; minor pain and bruising has also been reported.
Whilst orgasms can still be achieved, the ring may affect ejaculation, but this is harmless.
Other less common side effects include skin breakdown, pain, temporary numbness.
Oral medication is the most common therapy for erectile dysfunction. This includes sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis) and others.
There are also medications that can be injected into the penis and creams applied to the tip of the penis such as alprostadil (Vitaros).
Other drug treatment such as hormone therapy may be beneficial depending on the underlying causes of erectily dysfunction.
Surgery can also be considered where other forms of treatment for ED have not been effective. As with all surgeries, the risks should be seriously discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.

How to use a penis pump.
Consult instruction manual/dvd provided with this product. Ensure valve pip is not pressed and turn the valve clockwise on the plastic cylinder. Place lubricant inside the long insert comfort pad. Place the ring on base of of penis Place pump over penis ensuring an airtight seal is formed at the base. Pump by pushing the tube towards the body. The ejected air  will increase the blood flow to your penis and help you get an erection.Continue to pump until you achieve an erection. Twist air valve anticlockwise for pressure release and remove the pump, leaving the ring in place which will help maintain the erection. Which alternatives are there?
If you experience ED for the first time or find that your symptoms worsen you should speak to a doctor or consult an online doctor.
You doctor will be able to advise you if you need further medical checks. Since ED can have underlying medical causes, your doctor will want to make sure that you don’t suffer from an undiagnosed condition which needs to be treated.
If you find that the penis pump doesn’t suit you or you find it difficult to use, you may want to consider trying tablets for erectile dysfunction instead.
