User Reviews for Cialis oral

Mary Thompson
My husband was greatly surprised when the doctor recommended me Tadalafil for pulmonary hypertension. He took this medication for his unstable erection and had no idea that it may be used in women. Now we both take the same drug but for different purposes, and both are satisfied with the results.

Cialis 20mg: How it Compares to Other ED Treatments

Tadalafil, the active ingredient in the medication Cialis®, is one of the most effective and widely used options on the market for treating erectile dysfunction, or ED.

As with other erectile dysfunction medications, Cialis is available in a variety of dosages. One of the most common forms of Cialis is a 20mg tablet, which is designed for use when needed as a treatment for erectile dysfunction.

If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, using Cialis at a 20mg dosage may make it easier for you to get and keep an erection. However, the 20mg dosage of Cialis isn’t the only way that you can use Cialis, nor is it the only option for treating ED.

Below, we’ve explained how Cialis 20mg works, as well as how it compares to other dosages of Cialis and FDA-approved ED treatments such as Viagra® (sildenafil), Levitra® (vardenafil) and Stendra® (avanafil).

How Cialis Works

How does Cialis work? At a simple level, Cialis works by increasing the amount of blood that can flow into your penis when you receive sexual stimulation.

Tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, belongs to a class of medications referred to as PDE5 inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the actions of the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5, which is responsible for regulating blood flow to the erectile tissue of your penis.

Erections are all about blood flow. When you’re sexually aroused, your nerves signal to tissue inside your penis called the corpora cavernosa, which relaxes and allows blood to flow in and create pressure.

When you take Cialis, it becomes easier for blood to flow into the corpus cavernosa — the soft, spongy tissue of your penis that fills with blood to become erect. This increased blood flow can help you to get and maintain an erection when you feel sexually aroused.

Cialis differs from other ED medications in several ways, the biggest of which is its long duration of action.

How long does Cialis last? Compared to other ED medications, such as Viagra® (sildenafil) and Levitra® (vardenafil), both of which last for a few hours each, Cialis offers long-lasting effects, with a single dose generally providing relief from ED symptoms for up to 36 hours.

Thanks to its long-lasting effects, Cialis has earned a reputation as a “weekend pill” for treating erectile dysfunction.

Cialis Side Effects

Like other ED medications, Cialis can cause side effects. Most side effects from Cialis are mild, although in rare cases, medications such as Cialis may cause more serious or bothersome side effects.

Headaches. Headaches can occur with all ED medications, including Cialis. According to a 2008 review, headaches were reported by 15 percent of men who used Cialis at a dosage of 20mg, making them the most commonly reported adverse effect.

Indigestion and heartburn. Cialis and other medications for ED can cause indigestion, or heartburn. This side effect occurs in eight percent of men who use Cialis at a 20mg dosage.

Back and/or muscle pain. Cialis can cause back pain and/or myalgia, a form of muscle aches and muscle pain. Three to five percent of men who use Cialis at a dosage of 10 to 20mg report experiencing this side effect.

Flushing. Because of its effects on your blood vessels, Cialis may cause you to develop facial flushing. This side effect occurs in around three percent of men who use Cialis. It can also occur with other medications for ED.

Nasopharyngitis (cold symptoms). A small percentage of men who use Cialis for ED experience cold-like symptoms, such as nasal congestion (or “stuffy nose”).

In rare cases, Cialis and other medications for ED may cause more serious side effects, such as dizziness, reduced blood pressure, hearing problems, loss of vision or chest pain. It’s important to inform your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any concerning symptoms.

Cialis and other ED medications may also cause priapism, a form of painful, prolonged erection that can damage the tissue of your penis. This is a highly uncommon side effect with few case reports in medical literature.

Our guide to priapism provides more information about this side effect. If you start to develop a long-lasting, uncomfortable or painful erection after taking Cialis, make sure to seek immediate medical help.

Cialis Drug Interactions

Cialis can interact with other medications. Some medications, including those prescribed to treat heart disease or hypertension, can cause dangerous and potentially life threatening side effects when used with Cialis or generic tadalafil.

If you’re prescribed Cialis, it’s important not to take it with nitrates or other heart medications. If used together, these medications can cause a sudden, significant drop in blood pressure. These effects may also occur with street drugs that contain nitrates, such as “poppers.”

To avoid interactions, make sure to inform your healthcare provider about all of the medications you currently use or have recently used before taking Cialis.

Cialis 20mg vs. Other Cialis Dosages

Cialis comes in oral tablet form and is available in several dosages, ranging from just 2.5mg per tablet to 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. The 20mg version of Cialis is currently the maximum dose that’s available.

Some of these Cialis dosages are designed for use as needed (used only before sex), whereas others are designed for use every day. We’ve explained how each cialis dosage differs in more detail below.

Cialis 10mg

The FDA recommends the 10mg version of Cialis as a starting dosage for use as needed as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. If you suffer from ED and want to use Cialis as needed, it’s likely that your healthcare provider will recommend this dosage.

Research shows that the 10mg dosage of Cialis works well for the majority of men affected by erectile dysfunction.

In clinical trials, 68 percent to 77 percent of men with erectile dysfunction who used Cialis at a 10mg dosage were able to have penetrative sex with their partner, compared to 46 percent to 55 percent of men given a non-therapeutic placebo.

As you may expect, Cialis 10mg has a moderately higher rate of side effects than the 5mg and 2.5mg versions of this medication, and a slightly lower rate of side effects than Cialis 20mg.

Cialis 20mg

Cialis is also available as a 20mg tablet. This version of Cialis is the strongest dosage that has been approved for use by the FDA and, just like the 10mg version of Cialis, is designed for use as needed before you have sex.

Your healthcare provider may prescribe the 20mg version of Cialis if you don’t get satisfactory results from the 10mg dosage.

Studies of Cialis 20mg have found that it’s typically more effective than lower-dose versions of Cialis.

In clinical trials, 76 percent to 85 percent of men given this dosage could successfully have sex with their partner, versus 68 percent to 77 percent of men who used Cialis at a 10mg dosage.

Cialis 20mg is slightly more likely to cause certain side effects, such as headache or dyspepsia (indigestion), than the 10mg dosage of Cialis. However, the increased risk of experiencing side effects is fairly small.

Even at the highest dosage of Cialis, side effects are still uncommon. In clinical trials, the most common side effect of Cialis, headache, was only reported by 15 percent of men who used the 20mg version of the medication.

Cialis 5mg

Cialis is available as a 5mg tablet. This version of Cialis can be taken daily (we’re explained this in more detail below) or as needed to treat erectile dysfunction.

Your healthcare provider may suggest using Cialis 5mg if you experience significant side effects from the 10 or 20mg dosages, or if you think that these dosages are more than needed in order to treat your erectile dysfunction.

Research shows that when used as needed, Cialis 5mg is more effective than a non-therapeutic placebo but less effective at treating ED than Cialis 10mg or 20mg.

It’s also slightly less likely to cause common ED medication side effects, such as headache and dyspepsia (indigestion).

Daily Cialis (Cialis 5mg and 2.5mg)

Cialis is also available as a daily-use medication at dosages of 5mg and 2.5mg. These versions of Cialis are designed to be taken daily at the same time, instead of as needed before you have sex.

Taking Cialis daily rather than as needed has some advantages, such as fewer common side effects and a simple dosage schedule. It also means that you’ll be ready to have sex any time during the day, rather than just after taking your medication.

However, it also has some disadvantages, such as side effects that may be more persistent or bothersome. We’ve discussed these in more detail in our full guide to daily-use Cialis.

Cialis 20mg vs. Viagra (Sildenafil)

Cialis is often compared to other ED medications such as Viagra (sildenafil). As a treatment for erectile dysfunction, the 20mg dosage of Cialis offers several advantages compared to Viagra:

It’s longer lasting. The effects of Cialis 20mg last for approximately 36 hours, making it a very long-lasting treatment for erectile dysfunction. In comparison, the effects of Viagra tend to fade away after three to five hours. Due to its longer duration of action, as-needed Cialis may be a better choice for you if you want to treat erectile dysfunction for the entire day with a single dose of medication.

It’s less affected by food. Cialis is not affected by food, meaning you can take it before or after eating. This may be useful if you plan to take Cialis with dinner in order to have sex later in the nighttime. While it’s also okay to take Viagra with food, taking Viagra after a meal that contains lots of fat may affect the drug’s absorption and slow down its effects.

On the other hand, the 20mg dosage of Cialis also has a variety of disadvantages compared to Viagra:

In certain circumstances, it might be too long-lasting. Cialis is famous for providing relief from ED for longer than other medications. However, if you only need to treat your ED symptoms for a night, the 36-hour effects of Cialis may be more than needed.

It may cause longer-lasting side effects. Because of Cialis’s long half-life and duration of action, it can cause more persistent side effects than other ED medications. This may be an issue if you’re prone to side effects from PDE5 inhibitors.

Ultimately, Cialis and Viagra are different medications that treat the same condition. The biggest advantage of Cialis is its long duration of action, while the main advantage of Viagra is that it’s a great medication for use as-needed for a single night of sex. There are also chewable Cialis and Viagra, which we detail in our blog.

Our Cialis vs. Viagra guide goes into more detail on the main advantages and disadvantages of both medications, from effectiveness to side effects, ease of use, safety and more.

Cialis 20mg vs. Other ED Medications

In addition to Cialis, other medications, such as Levitra (vardenafil) and Stendra (avanafil) can also treat erectile dysfunction. Like Viagra, these medications differ from the 20mg dosage of Cialis in several ways:

Levitra. Levitra typically lasts for slightly longer than Viagra, but is much shorter-acting than Cialis. This makes it a good alternative to Cialis if you’d like to use ED medication as needed, rather than once per 36 hours. Our more detailed Levitra vs. Cialis comparison provides more information on how these popular ED medications differ.

Stendra. Stendra is a new medication for ED. It starts working in as little as 15 minutes, making it a much faster-acting medication than Cialis. On average, a dose of Stendra provides relief from ED for approximately four to six hours. As a newer ED medication, Stendra has a lower risk of causing certain side effects than Cialis.

Is Cialis 20mg Right For You?

The 20mg dosage of Cialis is a good option if you want relief from erectile dysfunction that lasts for an entire day or longer, or if you’ve previously used Cialis at a 5mg or 10mg dose and didn’t experience satisfactory effects.

However, it’s slightly more likely to cause side effects than the 10mg version of Cialis, which is why healthcare professionals typically prescribe Cialis at a lower dosage first.

We offer both brand name Cialis and generic tadalafil online. We also offer a range of other ED medications, including Viagra, generic sildenafil and Stendra (avanafil).

All of these medications are effective at treating ED, with each offering its own range of unique advantages and disadvantages.

For a year or so I was having erections that were either not hard enough for penetration or faded too soon. Cialis solved the problem. Really great results. Within an hour of taking a 10mg tablet I can be very hard and not have to worry about losing it. We’re enjoying extended sex again. Maybe because I’m staying very hard, my orgasms and ejaculation are much more intense.

Most voted negative review

total waste of money; with T levels around 600 at age 49, in good health it should have done SOMETHING pure junk

Shared reviews and ratings

It was wonderful and I highly recommend it. Finally my husband was solid and lasted hours.. haven’t felt raw in a while

I don’t have any problem obtaining an erection; however, my problem was sustaining it. Once I got hard, I had to get straight to business or within a few minutes it would deflate. If it wasn’t all over in roughly ten minutes, it was finished anyway because my junk was useless; which wasn’t fair on my partners. I had a consultation with an online Doctor who prescribed 10mg as needed; however I went against my Doctor’s advice and took 2.5mg daily (which I was later informed was fine as the dr ug may need to be adjusted to suit your tolerance and your sexual activity). I wanted my body to get use to the medications first. I have continued to take 2.5mg daily and if I know I may have a sexual encounter, I take 5mg. No side effects what-so-ever on this dose; however I went to an orgy one night so took 10mg and experienced some facial flushing and felt hot; which didn’t bother me. End result; 2.5mg daily and 5mg for sexual encounters works well for me; however now I have the opposite problem it takes me some time to ejaculate. well it’s not really a problem, however if I want a quickie, it can take some time to blow. Still, fair trade off and it actually works in my favour most of the time. Bottom line; we all react differently to medication so you may have to play around with the dose until you find what best works for you, under medical advice of course. Read More Read Less

Tadalafil Reviews

There is a lot of talk about Viagra, and honestly, I think it is all very hyped up. The real blockbuster here is Cialis, leaving Viagra running a distant second to its 36 hours of action – and for me it is actually full 2 days of effects. I never even considered taking Viagra, because Cialis beats it hands down. Any time I see fit, I am ready for sex, period. Highly recommend Cialis or any other Tadalafil pill for that matter. I currently take Cialis Professional, with it you don’t have to wait a full hour for the onset of action. Total win win!

Chance
I recommend Cialis as a continuous treatment (one tablet per day) because there is no longer a problem with the timetable for a sexual act, it works even if we take it in the morning for intercourse in the afternoon. First week, the side effects are present (pain in the back, limbs, etc.) then they subside from the second week. I will come back to update my comment at the end of the 28 days of treatment and share the outcomes.

Hello guys! As promised, here I am with an update following a full month of taking Cialis Daily. The pros – the side effects were basically non-existent by the time I was done with 2 weeks of the course. Nada. The erectile function was as good as it used to be in my twenties, save for the part that even back then I used to need more time to recover. With daily pills of Cialis, I am ready for round to in some quarter of an hour. Been two days off the pill, and wake up with a glorious case of morning wood still! I have not yet noticed a difference between taking and not taking the pill, goes to show the effect might still be there. I still plan to do another course after a couple of weeks. Definitely worked for me.

Ordered a pack of Apcalis. Was the first time using this pharmacy and I didn’t know what to expect. What I liked about ordering Apcalis here: easy navigation and checkout, legit drug quality. What I didn’t like: took a while for the order to be approved and processed, took two weeks to deliver. As for the drug itself, I have been using tadalafil for years now. Some generics give more side effects, some less. Apcalis is one of those generics of Cialis that give me minor flushing and possibly wooziness the morning after. The effects on erections are outstanding though: rock hardness without much stimulation. A tip from a weathered user: the further away from the meals, the better the results!

I’ve tried “Tadalis-SX” now and it’s probably among the best so far. This is a tadalafil product/generic Cialis from India heard. I have tested Kamagra too but although it also works well it is clearly a bit sad to have to plan for sex. I had some mild side effects from 10mg Tadalis (split the 20mg tablet) but not so dangerous and especially no headache or backache the day after, although it works just as well then. In fact, I had no side effects at all the day after. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought it had gone out of my body. No problems with long delay or anything. Satisfied. This is what it will be if necessary… Now I will stop trying something else.

For me, generic Cialis works. I get it up without further problems and can satisfy not also my girlfriend but also myself. Haven’t had such awesome sex in a very long time! I’m too embarrassed to go to my doctor for the pills in person but I have had a telemedicine consultation and ordered my first pack of Cialis online. Everything went smoothly, the service was very professional, does not require a prescription (but they issue one for you if the doctor approves the use of the drug in your case) and is very reliable.

Erectile dysfunction has plagued my life for a long time. First of all, I started to do a treatment with Viagra, but the taking of this pill, gave me the impression that my reports become scheduled and from the psychological point of view this fact bothered me a lot. So I decided to take Generic Cialis Super Active. It is the strongest drug for restoring activity that works for a long time (up to 3 days), and has fewer negative effects, in comparison with Viagra. My doctor gave me the first pill, of course, the doctor alone can accurately calibrate and assign the right dose of Cialis for you and it works really well, fast action of long duration. Usually I take a tablet at least 15-20 minutes before the planned sexual activity and then, within 36 hours, I am able to act certainly in the presence of sexual stimulation. I started buying this product at online pharmacies, since it is a way more economical solution.

Desmond
I have been occasionally taking Generic Cialis (Tadalista) 20 mg for two years. The drug works fast and the effect lasts a long time. This only applies to sexual stimulation and you can get it up only when stimulated by your partner, and then everything is fine. I buy the drug at an online pharmacy due to privacy and the cost which is much lower than elsewhere.

Brian
Because of prostate surgery I had lost sensitivity, I had normal erections but I easily lost them because I didn’t feel the touch, on prescription from the urologist I take 5mg of cialis every night and since the first pill I have perfect erections better than before the problem, I can have erections as much as I want all day, the only drawback is that to takes longer to reach orgasm but this is an advantage for my wife and so also for me, no side effect really a great product, in my opinion better a minimum dosage, I take a dose every night but only for therapeutic reasons otherwise just take it half an hour before intercourse.

Gregg
Hello, I am 51 years old and have a slight problem to maintain a reliable erection. I took a tablet of Cialis 20mg 24h before the date. The first side effect to come was a hot flash in the face and a slight headache. The sexual experience went extremely well, a little too much for my taste… Well yes I will explain myself, I passed the foreplay in an exquisite shape, as well as the act itself, to an extent that I surprised myself in the long run, and the duration of the erection even after ejaculation was something truly unique. Seeing my partner this satisfied was very much worth it. Then the next day: intense pain for about two hours in the calves, and lower back pain for a little longer. Goes to show that one has to be careful with the dose, even if it is a formidable efficiency.

Sebastian
I want to share my experience with cialis 20mg. My story: 38 years old, sporty, handsome, got it all…. but for almost a year I notice that my libido has dropped a lot, the morning I very rarely have erections, when I’m with a woman, I really have a trouble getting it up. I met a woman who I liked so much, that during our first time, I was moved to the point of breaking down … panic, panic ….. The next morning at an urologist’s …… two important points: he told me to control the thyroid, I may be a problem to the thyroid which causes disorders of the libido …. meanwhile he prescribed me cialis 20MG. He advised me to take 1/2 two hours before meeting my partner ….. I am super allergic, so I was very concerned, so I took a quarter of cialis, to see the effect on me, WHOA . no troubles, no side effects after two hours ….. I then take the second quarter, …………………… a few hours later I meet my date… And I am sporting a real lead bar. That was on Thursday………………….. next day on Friday IDEM! Saved by the pill, totally!!

Desmond
I recommend the Apcalis pill which represents less side effect but very effective and works very quickly among all drugs against erectile dysfunction, I think everyone has the right to buy it on the internet without the need to face up to a doc asking you all sorts of embarrassing questions. However, one can always ask the right questions online and make sure there are no contraindications and other such. Cheers!

Aged 67 with difficulty maintaining erection, cialis 5 mg has contributed to a better quality of sex life. The erections start soon and are of good quality as to the hardness of the penis. Sometimes they persist after ejaculation. In addition, cialis 5 mg helps to treat the occurrence of benign prostatic hypertrophy that I have too as recently discovered. Side effects, rare bleeding from the nose, backpain a little more frequent and congestion of the nose fairly regular. These effects are very bearable

Ruppert
Tried Apcalis, Cialis Professional and Cialis Soft so far. Among the three of them, I really prefer Cialis Professional for the kind of effect that it gives me. I am 59, and I do not remember being that hard in years, even back in the day when I was a young buck and ready for action any time of the day. Cialis Professional gives me this woozy feeling as if I am under the weather, and sometimes I have upset stomach the next day after taking it, but nothing more serious. And the ability to have my erections back after just taking one little pill for two days in a row is precious.

Bruce
I started off with brand Cialis, but soon had to switch to generic Tadalafil for the obvious reasons. It is a folly spending hundreds on drugs that can be had for a fraction of that. Currently, I use Cialis Professional and couldn’t be happier. Some 20 minutes into intake, and I can get it up just thinking of sex. As for side effects, I have them when taking Cialis Professional 40mg, but the benefits are SO worth the stepped up dose and a bit of a headache next day.

Davon
My partner and I thought of giving it a shot out of pure curiosity some months ago. And we both got addicted. I cannot wait to get to the week’s end when we spoil ourselves with a dinner out and a pill of Tadalista, a generic version of the weekend pill. The ability to get it up after just a few minutes after an orgasm is out of this world cool. I cannot say that generic is way worse than the original, but I can def point out that it couldn’t have been a weekly experience for us if we were to cough up the kind of money they charge for the brand pill.

Simon
I am a confirmed user of Cialis, be it brand or generic version of it. The brand pills are so ridiculously overpriced I don’t even remember buying them. With generic Tadalafil readily available, it would be a folly. A pill of Tadalis, and any other generic out there I’ve tried, gets me back in the saddle for almost two days, with few to no side effects. An occasional muscle discomfort doesn’t feel much worse than a slight post-workout soreness. I totally would recommend Tadalafil in its any form to anyone who loves being sexually active.

Mike
Tadalafil is my best helper when it comes to sex. I don’t know what I would do without it! The drug works very fast and the effect lasts for almost three days so no need to worry that you have forgotten about the tablet.

Noah
I was prescribed Tadalafil for premature ejaculation two weeks ago. To tell you the truth, I was quite skeptical about the medication, which is mostly used for erectile dysfunction treatment, but I was wrong. Only after two weeks of treatment, I can see a significant improvement. Thank you!

Mary Thompson
My husband was greatly surprised when the doctor recommended me Tadalafil for pulmonary hypertension. He took this medication for his unstable erection and had no idea that it may be used in women. Now we both take the same drug but for different purposes, and both are satisfied with the results.

Timothy S.
I take 5mg Tadalafil together with an antibiotic to treat chronic pelvic pain. It’s been only a couple of days since I have started the treatment but I can already feel the first results. First of all, I go to the bathroom rarer, and secondly, pain in my lower abdomen is not so annoying now.

Stephen
I’m in my late 60-s and I still want to have sex from time to time. Unfortunately, my male power left me about 7 years ago, but generic Tadalafil became a good substitution for it. I take 20 mg tablet about an hour before the intimacy and can enjoy the results for a couple of days. That’s great!

Mark Morris
I suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia for half a year already. My doc offered trying Tadalafil and kill two birds with one shot, so to say because my abilities in bed have gotten worse too. As for now, I’m quite happy with the results. No side effects.

Harvie
I’m allergic to many drugs so it’s not easy for me to find the one, which won’t provoke any serious adverse effects. Tadalafil is good for me because I don’t have any side effects except for a slight headache. Yet, it’s such a trifle if compared to the chronic prostatitis symptoms.

John
A lifelong premature ejaculation has made me look for the treatment options that would help me deal with the issue. I have been taking Fluoxetine for several months and my doctor said that it would be good to add Tadalafil. Well, I can definitely last longer in bed if compared to the pretreatment period. Hope it will only get better.

Julia Brown
My major problem is that I can’t breathe normally without taking Tadalafil. I have pulmonary arterial hypertension for quite a while and this drug is really helpful. It’s much easier to go up the stairs and be active on the whole when I’m on Tadalafil.

Ross
I call myself “one in a million” because I can’t believe that I have been so “lucky” to get both premature ejaculation and ED. A Jackpot! Fortunately, I take Tadalafil. It helps both of my problems. No significant side effects. Only stuffy nose sometimes.

Bryan McLeod
Why pay crazy money when you can always take advantage of generics? I’ve never noticed ANY difference, so Tadalis is my choice.

George Hawkings
Not the 36 hours effect, but still good enough, taking into account its price. Highly recommended.

Thomas Schultzberg
Hot stuff, use it with caution, especially those with high blood pressure. Yet Tadalis is a simply stunning option for ‘special occasions’. Yes, and this is one of the best over the counter tadalafil place to buy.

Jardim Samba
Just go for it – absolutely powerful drug! A mind-blowing effect guaranteed. Funny price.

Scott Richardson
The delivery took more time than promised. As for the drug – I’ve got a package safe and sound, wrapped thoroughly. Quality? No questions here;tadalafil reviews I’ve studied appeared to be mostly true.

William Goodking, 44 years, Corona
I was ruined when I first realized that I had problems with my erections. I’ve tried many pills and gels, but they didn’t help me much. When I was surfing the Internet, I saw the advertisement of Apcalis, and it changed everything! I didn’t even imagine that my erectile problem could be solved so fast and easily. I’m really glad that I didn’t pass that ad because I feel a real man again.

Patrick Wallbrut, 39 years, Kansas City
When I understand that my sexual vigor is no longer as strong as I wanted, I decided to trust medications. I must admit that it was big shock for me, but I knew that I needed to keep going with my life and look for possible ways to solve this problem. I ordered Apcalis online, and it made my penis big and strong again, so I’m quite pleased with its intake.

I started to worry about my dear husband a few years ago because I noticed that our sexual life was no longer as passionate as before. He seemed so indifferent to such pleasures, but I didn’t hurry with my conclusions and decided to talk to him. He explained to me that impotence was at fault, so I tried to help him by ordering Apcalis, and it really helped us!

Mariam Foster, 42 years, Simi Valley
My husband is over 40 years old and I noticed changes in his erections last year. First, I thought that he didn’t find me attractive any longer, but I was wrong. I wanted to save my marriage so I decided to try Apcalis because I understood that my husband had problems with erections. Now I can say for sure that it works!

Shirley Brooks, 40 years, Glendale
I’m so happy that I found Apcalis! Like many other men in his age, my husband has certain problems with erections, and he tried many medications, but his experiences were not so pleasant because of side effects and allergies. Luckily, we decided to order Apcalis, and this is how we found what we needed to improve our sexual life!

John Summers, 39 years old, Santa-Monica
Actually, this was my first purchase at online pharmacy: previously I’ve been ordering books and equipment only, so I was a bit worried. A totally affordable price was something that made me pull the trigger. And it worked in every way – the parcel arrived on time (wrapped in the best possible way), while the medication itself exceeded any expectations. Thanks!

Peter Raybach, 42 years, St. Petersburg
Just go for it – both preparation and customer service leave nothing to be desired. A super-quick deliver in conjunction with stunning quality of the drug (Apcalis-SX has been my choice for nearly a half of a year) is something you will certainly love about this shop. Confidential, polite, modern – these are the best words to describe this online pharmacy.

Mark James, 55 years, Birmingham
I confirm I’ve made several purchases here and the experience was good. Recommended.

Matthias Forstern, 4 years, Lund
Salvation is found, thank God. In Sweden they are killing you with these crazy prices, so I’m extremely happy to purchase Apcalis here.

Joseph Warder, 47 years, Leverkusen
I live in a city of pharmaceutical drugs, but purchase stuff at 3rd party companies like this one. Weirdly, it saves my wallet from holes. Thanks, after all.

Everything to Know About Cialis: Use, Effectiveness, and Safety

Cialis is a medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) often used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It is taken as an oral tablet either as a low-dose daily medication or as a higher-dose “on-demand” medication.

Cialis is the brand name for tadalafil, a medication that is also used to treat ED. Tadalafil is in a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors and is available in a generic form often called generic Cialis. Tadalafil has been on the market since 2018 and has the same primary ingredient as Cialis and is generally just as effective — the only difference is the price.

  • lasts up to 36 hours for some people, which is longer than Viagra
  • can be taken as needed or on a daily, regular basis
  • daily use allows for a more spontaneous sex life
  • can be taken with or without food
  • helps maintain erections longer
  • some users say their orgasms are more intense
  • can cause headaches and muscle aches
  • must be swallowed whole
  • can cause indigestion
  • can make you appear flushed
  • not available over-the-counter (OTC)

Cialis works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help a person get and maintain an erection. It also blocks the PDE5 enzyme, which enhances the effects of nitric oxide (NO). NO activates a series of chemical reactions that increase blood flow to the penis by relaxing blood vessels.

Cialis also relaxes the smooth muscle in the prostate and the bladder. It doesn’t protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

PDE5 inhibitors work by binding to an enzyme called PDE5, which normally breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (GMP) molecules.

Cyclic GMP helps relax the smooth muscles within the blood vessels of your penis. This process significantly increases blood flow to these blood vessels, leading to an erection.

Cialis and other PDE5 inhibitors don’t cure ED or increase libido. Physical and psychological arousal is still necessary for the medications to help achieve and sustain an erection.

When sexually aroused, the parasympathetic nervous system activates, triggering the release of NO. The increased presence of NO is what increases the production of cyclic GMP.

Cialis is primarily used to treat ED. Guidelines unanimously agree in considering PDE5 inhibitors as first line treatments for ED as long as it doesn’t interfere with your other medications or cause you to have any severe side effects.

Cialis and generic tadalafil are also prescribed to treat the symptoms of BPH, also known as an enlarged prostate.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension

Tadalafil is also FDA approved to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which is high blood pressure affecting the arteries in the lungs. The typical dose for PAH is two 20 milligram tablets (40 mg) taken daily.

Adcirca is the brand name for tadalafil and is used to treat PAH.

Obtaining Cialis

Cialis and generic tadalafil are available with a prescription only. There is no OTC version, though there have been efforts in recent years to develop a nonprescription version of tadalafil.

Cialis is available as an oral tablet in several dosages, allowing individuals to take a low-dose tablet daily or a stronger dose on-demand before sexual activity.

The daily doses are available in 2.5- and 5-mg tablets. Doctors usually start their patients on the 2.5-mg dose, though 5 mg may be appropriate if needed for greater efficacy.

A daily dose of 5 mg may be too much for some people and lead to undesirable side effects.

On-demand doses are available in 10- and 20-mg doses. Doctors usually recommend starting with a 10-mg dose and moving up to 20 mg if a stronger dose is needed to achieve the desired results.

A 2016 study found that while low-dose daily use may have produced a slightly weaker effect than the higher-dose, on-demand use in some study participants, there did not appear to be a major benefit with one approach over the other.

  • With an on-demand dose, take Cialis at least 30 minutes prior to sexual activity, though understand that it could take up to 2 hours to take effect.
  • Take daily doses at about the same time every day.
  • Focus on managing stress.
  • Maintain healthy communication with your partner.

Some of the most common side effects associated with Cialis are:

Cialis is more likely to cause myalgia (muscle pain) when compared with other PDE5 inhibitors, according to a 2016 study on ED treatment published in the journal Nature Reviews Disease Primers .

Many Cialis or generic tadalafil users do not experience side effects, and those who do often have minor complaints that tend to go away once the drug is out of their system.

Muscle aches may last up to 2 days or so after taking your last dose.

More potential and serious symptoms include priapism, an abnormal, sometimes painful erection that lasts more than 4 hours.

Other concerning symptoms that should prompt a visit with a healthcare professional include sudden changes in vision and hearing, which occasionally occur with tinnitus and dizziness.

Unlike some other PED5 inhibitors, Cialis may be taken with or without food. It’s unlikely to have any impact on its effectiveness or side effects.

Avoid taking with high fat foods and meals

You should avoid high-fat meals when using Cialis. Too much fat may affect how well the medication works and how quickly it takes effect.

Avoid grapefruit juice

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can enhance levels of Cialis in the bloodstream, potentially increasing negative side effects.

Avoid heavy alcohol drinking

Moderate alcohol consumption should have little effect on how Cialis works. But heavy alcohol consumption can make it difficult to achieve an erection even with an ED medication.

Know your other medications

Cialis may interact with certain medications. In particular, you should not take Cialis if you’re also taking nitrates, which are medications that widen arteries to allow greater blood flow.

Nitrates are typically prescribed to treat angina (chest pain brought on by narrowed coronary arteries) or heart failure.

When taken with nitrates or antihypertensive medications called alpha-blockers, Cialis could cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

Cialis may lead to similar problems when used in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.

Other classes of drugs that may interfere with Cialis include:

You should also avoid taking two PDE5 inhibitors in 1 day, as this can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure and other serious side effects.

Cialis and generic tadalafil are equally effective. The FDA works to ensure that the generic versions of all brand-name medications provide the same clinical benefits.

The main difference between Cialis and generic tadalafil is the cost.

Though prices vary considerably depending on the manufacturer and pharmacy where you’re buying the medication from, Cialis typically costs around $365 for 30 tablets. The generic versions cost about $100 for 30 tablets.

Cialis has been a widely available medication since gaining FDA approval in 2003. The medication is marketed and distributed by the company Eli Lilly and is sold in 2.5-, 5-, 10-, and 20-mg tablets. Eli Lilly is a large pharmaceutical company and manufacturer that also sells many other popular medications like Trulicity and Taltz.

Cialis has a generally positive reputation with customers because of its effectiveness and how long-acting it can be when taken daily. Since Cialis is available through pharmacies and several online ED medication services, overall customer satisfaction ratings can vary, especially since many of these online services put their most positive reviews out front.

If you are curious about user satisfaction with Cialis, make an appointment with your doctor or specialist to see if they think you could benefit from using Cialis.

While Cialis is widely prescribed around the world, the most well-known PDE5 inhibitor is Viagra (sildenafil), which is the first medication in this class of drugs to hit the market.

In addition to Cialis and Viagra, the other PDE5 inhibitors include:

These medications work best when used in combination with doing other things to support your overall health, especially those that directly impact your cardiovascular health.

In addition to PDE5 inhibitors, there are alternatives to medications some people consider, along with healthy habits. Among them are supplements and pill-free options, like:

  • L-arginine, an amino acid that helps manufacture nitric oxide
  • red ginseng, also known as Panax ginseng, an herb sometimes taken to lower inflammation
  • acupuncture, though research has shown conflicting results

Other habits that help sexual function

Making certain lifestyle changes can help fight ED, too. This includes things like:

  • getting regular exercise when possible
  • quitting smoking (if you smoke)
  • getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night
  • consuming nutrient-dense foods when possible
  • finding ways to manage stress

Cialis and Viagra each have their pros and cons, though the medications work similarly in the body.

Cialis has the advantage of lasting longer, with effects often lingering as long as 36 hours after taking the tablet.

Viagra usually lasts about 4 hours. Viagra is also an on-demand medication only, so the spontaneity that daily Cialis use allows is not an option with Viagra.

But Cialis is associated with muscle aches in the limbs in some users, a side effect not associated with Viagra. However, some research suggests that Viagra use may be associated with vision problems.

You can also find generic versions of both Cialis and Viagra.

Your lifestyle and personal experience with a particular medication may help you determine if Cialis, Viagra, or another PDE5 inhibitor is the right choice.

Cialis isn’t available over the counter. Your doctor has to prescribe Cialis for ED or other conditions the medication treats.

You may also be able to obtain this medication with the help of telemedicine services.

Companies like Hims and Roman offer online consultations with physicians who can prescribe ED medications that are then mailed to your home.

The cost of these online services can sometimes exceed conventional healthcare, though the convenience and discretion of this type of telemedicine service are appealing to many individuals.

How long does Cialis last?

Taking Cialis daily will make it easier for you to get and keep an erection for as long as you regularly take the medication. If you are only taking a higher dose of Cialis as needed, the ability to get an erection could last up to 36 hours, for some people.

What are the downsides of Cialis?

Cialis can cause some side effects, including headaches, muscle aches, congestion, and indigestion.

Does Cialis last longer than Viagra?

Yes, Cialis in higher dosages can last up to 36 hours, while Viagra commonly lasts up to 4 hours. Talk with your doctor to see which medication best fits your sexual lifestyle.

Cialis, the brand version of the PDE5 inhibitor tadalafil, is one of the world’s most widely prescribed ED medications.

Generic tadalafil has been available since 2018 and has proven to be just as effective and safe as the brand name.

The drug is available in low daily doses that keep the medication in your system and allow for greater spontaneity. It’s also available in stronger, on-demand doses.

While Cialis and other ED drugs don’t “cure” the condition, they can treat the primary symptom by helping achieve and maintain erections.

If ED is affecting your life and relationship, you may want to consider trying tadalafil in some form.

It’s available by prescription only, so consult with a doctor about this and other possible ED treatments.
