Engineering Services Business Development Manager
- Reports to Director of Business Development.
- Identifying and qualifying target opportunities within the territory.
- Becoming the primary point of contact for the customer.
- Educating the customer on Freedom CAD’s array of engineering services.
- Being the liaison between the customer and Freedom CAD’s resources.
- Developing a Business Development Strategy to penetrate and secure new customers
- Ability to effectively identify client business requirements.
- Working with the Freedom CAD Engineering & Customer Engineering teams presenting solutions.
- Help establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners and customers.
- Demonstrate excellent both verbal and written skills and possess ability to create associated documentation and maintain tracking of opportunities/ follow up.
- Ability to understand and explain many different technologies and to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Ability to respond effectively to time-sensitive inquiries.

Essential Functions: Responsibilities include: lead generation, team selling with Freedom CAD engineering and layout support team, moving the sale through the sales cycle, facilitating communication between the customer and Freedom CAD’s Operations and Business Development Management, and forecasting and territory analysis. Works with Operations and Business Development Management in the development of key accounts, including technical and feasibility meetings. Identify major accounts and high potential engineering service opportunities in order to develop and penetrate of these accounts. Engineering Services will include: Electronic hardware design, electrical, mechanical, signal and power integrity analysis, printed circuit board design.
Provides feedback to Operations and Business Development Management regarding service performance problems. Keep abreast of current and potential activities in the territory on items such as competitive services and pricing.
Participate and attend sales and marketing meetings, as required.
May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a four year college or university or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements: At least three years in a similar marketing, R&D or sales role. Strong communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: Business development skills and cross-functional team leadership experience preferred. Proven ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives, and develop strong working relationships also preferred. Knowledge of relevant markets (ie: PCB fabrication, PCB engineering and physical design. Requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Senior PCB Designer – Altium
This position has a strong focus on HDI technology and is responsible for creating state of the art PCB layouts from electrical schematics, net lists, mechanical input, and associated detail documents that adhere to the latest fabrication and assembly standards using Altium design software.
- Design project lead – reports to Operations Manager, or COO
- Leads highly complex layouts while ensuring quality, efficiency and manufacturability.
- Provides expertise to engineering team regarding combined HDI technology and design practices.
- Handle multiple tasks and provide work leadership to other designers through the distribution, coordination, and managing of the assigned work load
- Ability to create, from engineering inputs, board mechanical profiles, board fabrication stack-ups, detailed board fabrication drawings and packages, assembly drawings, assembly notes, etc., preferable for the Cadence Allegro design tool set.
- Load and debug Net lists (Altium)
- Ability to place components, perform density analysis, input constraints, route traces
- Generate layout reports daily/weekly for customers and Operations
- Must be willing to work occasionally on-site at a customer location (Mountain View, CA) and from home
- Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours to meet critical schedules when necessary
- Basic Schematics knowledge
- Expert knowledge of Altium tool suite is essential and secondary knowledge of Cadence or Mentor tools suites is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of HDI technology
- Basic computer literacy with PC/NT/Windows-based applications:

Sales Representative
Sales Representative – Multiple Locations
Freedom CAD Services is one of the largest, independent engineering services and printed circuit board (PCB) design service bureaus in No. America. Our mission is to provide our customers with world class, electronic and hardware engineering services to meet their time to market and cost initiatives. We augment our customer’s internal engineering resource teams to accelerate their electronic hardware development design cycles and achieve the product’s cost/performance objectives.

We are looking to add four Sales Professionals to sell our electronic hardware engineering services into these four North America Territories – Northeast, Northwest, Central and Mid-Atlantic.
The candidate must be well versed in current state of the art language and technology of electronic hardware engineering and printed circuit board design. Knowledge of PCB Computer Aided Design (CAD) process, schematic capture and printed circuit board fabrication and assembly are advantageous. Candidates will be comfortable working with Customer Hardware Engineering Senior Managements, Product Development Teams, CAD Managers, PCB Design Engineers and PCB Designers. Candidates will work both independently and with the support of Freedom CAD’s Engineering, Layout and Sales Management to penetrate his/her territory, develop relationships and drive sales revenue.
Candidate will be held responsible for a quarterly/yearly quota.

Compensation: This is an exempt position. Compensation is a Draw against Commission plan. In the Draw against Commission Plan the employee is advanced a set amount of money (draw) as a paycheck during the month. At the end of each month the draw is deducted from the employee’s commission.
Draw against Commission: The Draw against commission payable is $40,000 dollars per year, paid in equal monthly installments of $3,333.33 payable on a biweekly basis with appropriate deductions for federal income tax withholding, FICA and employee benefits. There is no commission cap.
Benefits: You may elect to participate in the Employee Medical Insurance, Employee Dental Insurance and an Employee Life and Disability Insurance benefits. There are 10 Company paid holidays and 3 weeks of flex time accumulated at 1.25 days per month. Since this is a Draw against Commission plan, additional flex time is optional once the Draw has been covered and account management responsibilities are satisfied. The company also provides the opportunity to participate in a Simple IRA Plan.

Senior PCB Designer – Allegro
Location: Mountain View, California
Basic Function
This position has a strong focus on Flex and HDI technology and is responsible for creating state of the art PCB layouts from electrical schematics, net lists, mechanical input, and associated detail documents that adhere to the latest fabrication and assembly standards using Cadence Allegro design software.

Printed Circuit Board CAD Trainee
This position is responsible for supporting lead designers in the creation of PCB layouts utilizing multiple design software suites.
- Individual design contributor
- Reports daily/weekly to the Trainer or Program Manager
- Takes day to day direction from Trainer and Lead PCB designers.
- Works closely with other designers to coordinate the creation of a PCB layout, including component placement, routing, silkscreens, fabrication and assembly drawings, and other related tasks as needed.
- Independently solves problems in a dynamic PCB layout to provide efficient support to lead designers.
- Provides lead designers with detailed description of work completed, as well as notes any other relevant information or issues concerning the layout.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at any given time.
- Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours to meet critical schedules when necessary.
- Must have to ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
- Capacity to solve highly complex problems logical and mathematical problems.
